Here is where we talk about the places that serve what we like to eat. Although I like to read reviews in Zagat, newspapers, online, and magazines to get an idea of what’s out there, here we will just feature the places that have excited us by our own set of criteria which focus on taste, value, and ingredients. We realize that if we limit ourselves to restaurants that serve well crafted, locally produced, meals at budget prices then we will be staying in seven nights a week. If we find a place that has two of the three, we are usually pretty happy. We also value uniqueness. If the cuisine is out of the ordinary, or they have a great beer list, or if they are making garlicky stews in the back of a jewelry store we take not. The places on this list tend to be a little off the beaten path, but good food is good food and if a popular place is churning out great stuff out of a big kitchen, we want to eat it!
